• Welcome • Bienvenidxs

I'm Constanza Segovia, a designer & artist from Mendoza, Argentina now working in Hartford, CT. I doodle a lot. constanza.gsegovia@gmail.com
forty

I’ve had the assignment to do a doodle with the theme of “happiness” for a while now. It’s been a rough couple of weeks and I couldn’t get myself to do it (nor had the time) but here it is. I think I’m about 2 weeks late, yikes. It was for Peculia…

thirtynine

An alternative color scheme… Side note: I think I want to start making really busy art. There’s something about editing the mess that is a lot of fun to me.

thirtyeight

I’m having so much fun cutting stuff up.

“For the birds” : meaning of the expression : Trivial; worthless; only of interest to gullible people. Origin : This phrase is of American origin and, while still in use there, has never been commonly used elsewhere. It is US Army slang and origin…

This is all I know.

most people.

these walls are wondrous.

twenty-five

25. the first quarter. the silver landing. there’s something solemn about the number 25. couldn’t think of anything more proper than one of the best things to ever come together and become one: burgersandbeer.

twenty-four

work doodle entitled: “Thank God I Don’t Work For A Huge Corporation”

this guy was being a douchebag and had it coming.

twenty-one

our friend kyle had a party. he’s going to the army on monday.

twenty and a half

because today is tough and I like both color schemes. (this one was photoshopped, the previous one is the original)

twenty

maybe I should have made “patterns” my project theme. Mm.

nineteen

rushing around, rushing around, rush – rush – rush.rushing around, rushing around, rush – rush – rush.

eighteen

The natural materials shown here are available to anyone, or any species–but they have been arranged by a human artist to express a unique personal vision.

maybe this one should be 15.5 but i’m calling it 16 cause that means i’m CAUGHT UP.

life seems to be a constant fight for survival : as dramatic as that sounds, I find it envigorating. [ still drawing for my grandpa ]

fourteen

these kids are bored.

I drew this for my grandpa, mi lelo. He loves to watch boxing matches. He’s in the hospital, far away, and I love him.

Inspired by my friend Nick’s facebook status, which read: “Like, gawd, fuckin’, I dunno, jeez, umm, like, y’know, like, like, like like likelieklikelikeiliekileikeileikillkillk illkillkillkillkill”

nine

close, but not quite // will have to try executing this idea again.

eight

Y las gentes de las casitas se sonríen y se visitan. Van juntitos al supermarkety todos tienen un televisor.

seven

These wonderful animals are from the book “Afterman”. This one is a desert leaper. I hope I never see one in person.

six

i guess i better get used to drawings that don’t quite turn out the way i want them. time is definitely a factor and there’s still some catching up to do.

five

FIVE is for five guys burgers & fries.

four

so this totally exposes the fact that in this catching up process, i’m repurposing some drawings that already were in my sketchbook. (see: winter shoes) well, at least i’m honest about it, that has to count for something.

three

one of the perks of colored pencils + sketchbooks : when the drawing from the previous page carries on as grooves on the paper and show through when you color stuff in. computers will never be able to recreate this.

two

my issue with beautiful weather : the guilt associated with not being able to enjoy it.

one

First installment in the “Catching Up” series.

I guess it is real :

Starting tomorrow, I’ll be taking part in 100 days project. First step: 11 days of catching up.
